Outside Burnaby Hospital I had 4 bars but the speed was 67 Mbps / 2.55 Mbps with 1 second download latency and 15% packet loss. It was on a Fizz tower.

Does fizz provide any money back guarantee like major telecom providers who is giving it for 30 days if no satisfaction after activation?

Does 50% off beta testing plan price end after 6 months from the activation date or on Aug14 considering beta testing started on Feb 14 in southern Ontario?

It's 6 months from the date you activate

I have a question regarding the Fizz outside of Canada and USA.
Will I be able to receive SMS and see calls while abroad? I'd love to join fizz but I'm unclear if what happens when traveling. I currently use data only esims when I travel, but I'm able to see who's calling me (I don't answer) in real time and receive sms as well. I can then call back using voip or another message app.
Can I do this with Fizz as well?
Thanks!

In the Carribean and Americas, this is similiar. I have my full Canada/USA plan and then in Mexico, or other countries down south, i buy a travel data add-on from the fizz portal for "Latin America" and it's good for 90% of Caribbean. In these places, you will get SMS and Calls like normal but you won't be able to do any outgoing unless you have money in your wallet (which is also a safeguard for me). It gets a little tricky in EU or other contients i think. I was in Italy, Croatia and Greece last year and I couldn't answer calls or texts regardless of wallet amount. It was really weird with calls and i heard nothing when i answered. I basically use my VOIP.MS account with the Bria App anywhere outside North America anyways, for calls and texts over data... so I don't have extensive experience with this for Fizz in my 7 years...

I don't think you even need a data pack from Fizz to receive SMS?

Just activated FIZZ to play around with it.
Activated 20GTB data only for $8/mo.
I'm in Markham, and I'm connected to Rogers (FIZZ EXT) and getting 100+Mbps on LTE from my bedroom.
Will try speed tests outside just to see tomorrow.
I was able get a pretty good number 437-xxx-1111.

Thanks for the information. I don't need to be able to answer the incoming call while traveling. I just want to be able to see the unanswered call ringing. I would then return the call using voip.ms

I plan to use this to supplement my $99 50GB freedom annual plan. How much does dual sim impact battery life on iphone if you have experience on this?

Not that huge TBH. I don't even notice.
I've been using dual SIMs for years.

I was thinking about switching from freedom to fizz but the roaming part concerns me. No calling and text while abroad is nonsense I don't wanna deal with.

Freedom wifi calling is definitely a differentiator, and the Fizz discount is only six months
Spouse is settling for only using WhatsApp video calling and messaging when out of Canada and US. We're already three months in our 6 month beta

yeah I guess it depends on the person and their needs. Like I said, not a big issue for me as I do everything over data/voip anyways...
I seem to remember the call roaming overseas was working when I was with videotron, so they must have different setup for fizz....

I'm in Vancouver and ever since it switched from fizz ext to fizz, my data has been dog poop. Literally constant dropped reception, spotty data etc. If this is how it's going to be moving forward, absolutely no way I'm staying on fizz past the 6 month beta.

They haven't blocked users from connecting to Fizz ext manually yet, so try that?
Spouse will be using fizz ext until we get warnings from Fizz
Myself since it's just backup data I don't really care if I get warned. For science I should just stay on fizz ext and see when I start getting warnings

It's sent by regular Canada Post so there isn't tracking.
Over Christmas I waited ten business days, which was like two and a half weeks real time with all the holidays and weekends in between
