The 12th season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2024) is all set to kick off on August 30, 2024. The marquee event will run until October 7th and will see a total of 34 matches played, including the knockout stages of the competition as well.
As always, the competition will be played in the T20 format, and the CPL continues to be the pinnacle of franchise tournaments in the Caribbean. The league stage will feature a total of six teams as they compete in the double-round robin and playoff format.
The top four teams on the points table will be moving on to the playoffs, which will lead to the summit clash of the tournament. The previous season of the competition was won by Guyana Amazon Warriors after they defeated Trinbago Knight Riders in the final.
With the 12th season rapidly approaching, Amazon Warriors will aim to put in their best performances in hopes of defending their title. Another change in the upcoming season would be the addition of Antigua and Barbuda Falcons to the tournament after Jamaica Tallawahs were removed.
